Jason Kaplan has been analysing commodity markets and forecasting developments for more than 20 years. He combines a keen understanding of commodities, the commercial drivers of companies along the supply chain, and the effects of macroeconomic factors to predict how markets will develop.

He has presented on commodities, economic developments, risk mitigation and the effects of trade at conferences around the world. He has been widely quoted in national newspapers, trade papers and interviews.

Jason has worked for companies such as CRU, Fastmarkets (Metal Bulletin), and IHS Markit, and latterly as a freelance consultant advising firms on the threats to and opportunities from commodity supply. He advises the Swann Group and its clients, on global commodity activities.

He has an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, and a BSc and an MSc in engineering from Brunel University in the UK.
